It's going to be tough to top last night's NHL slate, which saw three of the six games go to overtime in what was a thrilling night of action.

It's especially going to be tough to top it considering there are only two games to bet on tongiht.

The New York Rangers host the Vancouver Canucks at 8 p.m. to get things started off. The Canucks were a dark horse team to make the playoffs this season, but after a disaster first half of the year which resulted in the firing of their head coach, they're now well outside the playoff picture and on the verge of a complete rebuild.

Meanwhile, the Rangers are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games and are trying their best to catch the likes of the Hurricanes and Devils atop the Metropolitan Division.

The Rangers are rightful favorites in this interconference matchup.

The other game, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. EST, features a Central Division battle between the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets. The Stars sit atop the division with 68 points, and the Wild are tied for third place with 58 points. Minnesota will look to grab a win tonight to stay ahead of the charging Colorado Avalanche.

The Stars are set as small home favorites against their division rival.
