Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham showed some love for his former head coach Andy Reid after Super Bowl 57.

Super Bowl 57 had multiple nicknames. One was known as “The Kelce Bowl,” and the other was “The Andy Reid Bowl.” Andy Reid, head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, was looking for his second Super Bowl championship with this team. The opponent that was standing in his way of that goal was the Philadelphia Eagles, the team that gave him his first head coaching opportunity.

This Super Bowl matchup happened to be the most exciting in recent years. It was Reid and the Chiefs who stood tall after defeating the Eagles 38-35.

After the game, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham approached Reid to give him a hug. Reid was Graham’s first head coach after Philadelphia selected him with the 13th-overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft out of Michigan.

Reid was the head coach for the Eagles during Graham’s first three seasons with the team. In that span, Graham recorded 55 combined tackles (46 solo, nine assisted), 19 quarterback hits, 11 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles.

After the 2012 season, Reid and the Eagles parted ways following 14 seasons. He wasn’t a free agent for long, as he agreed to terms to become the head coach of the Chiefs. Since the Chiefs selected quarterback Patrick Mahomes, they have been consistent playoff and Super Bowl contenders. Reid won his first Super Bowl title as a head coach in the 2019 season, where the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl 54.

Now, Reid has two Super Bowl titles to his credit as a head coach, three overall.

As for Graham, he is coming off of a strong contract year with the Eagles. In 17 games played, Graham recorded 35 combined tackles (19 solo, 16 assisted), 16 quarterback hits, a career-high 11 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. Now, Graham is set to become an unrestricted free agent, and will be 35-years-old entering the 2023 regular-season.

Even after losing out on winning his second Super Bowl title, Graham wanted to give some love to his former head coach after the biggest game of the season.
