The NBA offseason is in a holding pattern, with certain dominoes preventing others from falling until they do. What are the five questions that still need to be answered?

The 2023 NBA offseason has once again provided plenty of drama. From superstar trade requests to draft prospects slipping without explanation, this offseason has lived up to what fans expect at this time of year.

However, since the free agent market has dried up, things have stagnated, and transactions have vacillated between modest and non-existent for the last few weeks.

This isn’t due to teams and players being content with where they are, it’s actually quite the opposite. Quite a number of teams are tied up in making their next big move — trading for or trading away a star — and these decisions are franchise-altering and can cost front-office executives their job if they don’t make the best decision possible.

With that, a number of other storylines have been held up and others haven’t been given proper discussion because they too are potentially dependent on the big movies folks are waiting for.

Where is Damian Lillard getting traded and for what?

Where is James Harden getting traded and for what?

Are the Hornets and P.J. Washington going to settle on a new contract?

Are the Raptors going to let Pascal Siakam AND O.G. Anunoby walk for nothing?

Are the Clippers going to extend Kawhi Leonard and Paul George? One of them? Neither?

The summer has already been full of excitement, but much more still remains.
